Concrete Admixture

Today, concrete admixtures are playing a very important and critical role in the production of specific and high quality concretes in construction projects. The rapid technological progress in recent decades, has had a significant impact on both new generation of raw materials and increasing the whole consumption.

In general, concrete admixtures are used to improve the quality of concrete and correct its defects. One of the principal properties of these materials is plasticizing. Water reduction, increasing efficiency and increasing concrete strength are the major features of plasticizers and super-plasticizers. Obviously, super-plasticizers have more impacts on these features. Concrete mixing design and other properties of projects determine either plasticizers or super-plasticizers should be used.
